Company overview
Headquartered in San Diego, California, RF Industries, Ltd., established in 1979 and formerly known as Celltronics, Inc. until 1990, is a global enterprise that develops, produces, and markets interconnect products and systems across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other international markets. The company's operations are divided into two primary segments. The RF Connector and Cable Assembly division focuses on designing, fabricating, and distributing coaxial connectors and integrated coaxial cable assemblies. Meanwhile, the Custom Cabling Manufacturing and Assembly segment specializes in engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing custom copper and fiber optic cable assemblies, sophisticated hybrid fiber optic and power solution cables, energy-efficient cooling systems for wireless base stations and remote shelters, and bespoke pole-ready 5G small cell integrated enclosures. This segment further extends its offerings to include custom and standard cable assemblies, hybrid fiber optic power solutions, adapters, and electromechanical wiring harnesses for applications in communications, computing, local area networks, automotive, and medical fields. The company also provides specialized cable assemblies and wiring harnesses to industrial, oilfield, instrumentation, and military customers, along with connectivity solutions to telecommunications and data communications distributors. RF Industries distributes its products through warehousing partners and an in-house sales team, serving a broad customer base that includes telecommunications carriers, equipment manufacturers, wireless and network infrastructure providers, and original equipment manufacturers.
Fundamental
fairMixed: operating momentum has improved (FY2025 revenue +24%; latest quarter showed GAAP profitability and ~35% gross margin) with no disclosed going-concern warning, but leverage is ~4x net debt/EBITDA and valuation is demanding (P/E ~98.84, EV/EBITDA ~32.04 with ~0.95% free-cash-flow yield). Overall fundamentalScore: 3/5.
Sentiment
weakNo clear 1–30 trading-day catalyst surfaced (no GlobeNewswire PRs found; no forward-dated events picked up in news/reddit). Media sentiment is mildly positive in the last ~14d (polarity_score ~+0.25 vs baseline ~0.00) but is driven mostly by low-signal trading/forecast commentary; retail chatter is effectively absent and the legal investigation screen shows no active items (court-case search was partially blocked by CAPTCHA).
Technical
weakNear-term stabilization above the 20-day/9-day cluster is constructive, but RFIL remains below the 21-day and 50-day averages with RSI below 50 and MACD still negative, so the chart still reads as a repair bounce rather than a clean bullish trend.
